In this particular project, the GS8000 and BS800 devices were used to detect contaminated sites such as tar creosols and old road residues on an avenue that was being demolished. This was done as part of the construction of the new surrounding route around Tüttleben in order to reduce traffic congestion in the town centre. The scans along the avenue made it possible to document where both contaminated sites and strong tree roots were located in the ground. This made it possible to plan specific measures for safe excavation.
